Missouri DHSS Announces Possible Measles Exposure At St. Louis Airport

Staff Contact: Kara Amann

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services on Feb. 17 announced a possible measles exposure at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport. An out-of-state resident with a confirmed case of measles traveled through the airport between 5 and 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 following a domestic flight.

Health care providers should refer to the CDC health advisory for recommendations for infection control measures and diagnostic testing. Providers should report any suspected measles cases to their local health department immediately, preferably while the patient is still at the clinic or facility.
