Northern Missouri Hospitals Host Congressional Candidate Chris Stigall
Hospitals across northern Missouri recently welcomed U.S. congressional candidate Chris Stigall for conversations about the issues shaping health care in Missouri’s 6th Congressional District.
Hospital leaders shared how federal and state funding limitations affect their ability to sustain local services, recruit and retain the health care workforce, and keep care close to home. Conversations also focused on prior authorization reform to prevent inappropriate delays and denials of patient care, supporting healthy moms and babies through access to maternal health services and protecting access to essential care in rural communities.
Missouri health care leaders and the thousands of hospital employees across the district who care for people in their communities appreciate the opportunity to help candidates and policymakers better understand the challenges facing hospitals and the patients they serve.
