KCMHC To Host World Cup Preparedness Briefing March 25
Kansas City is proud to serve as a host city for the FIFA World Cup 26™. While hospitals and health care systems in the Kansas City area have been actively preparing for this event, the Kansas City Metropolitan Healthcare Council will host a briefing for all Missouri and Kansas hospitals to receive updated information on preparations and readiness.
The session will take place Wednesday, March 25, in the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Board Room. An in-person option will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes a 30-minute lunch and networking time at the beginning. A virtual option also is available that starts at 11:30 a.m.
KC2026 partnered with The University of Kansas Health System to serve as the Official Medical Services Provider for the Kansas City World Cup 2026 Host City. This partnership builds on planning efforts already underway and will expand regional coordination in several important areas.
During this educational session, Pam Kramer, CEO of KC2026, along with Host City Health and Medical co-lead Bryan Beaver, M.D., will discuss health care planning for the World Cup events coming to the Midwest. The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
