MHA Distributes Analysis For Final Updates To CY 2025 Medicare Home Health PPS

The Missouri Hospital Association published a comprehensive analysis of the calendar year 2026 final payment and policy updates for the Medicare Home Health Prospective Payment System. The analysis, which is available online for authorized users of HIDI Advantage^®, includes a summary of the final rule, a description of the methods underlying the analysis and assessments of the financial implications.

The financial implications include effects of the CY 2026 updates to the market basket, the productivity reduction mandated by the Affordable Care Act, the patient-driven grouping model, the permanent behavior assumption adjustment and changes to the wage index. The estimated effect of the final home health rule will decrease payments in Missouri by 1.04%, or $210,300.
