Hospital Leaders Thank Sen. Josh Hawley for His Leadership in Protecting Medicaid Benefits for Missourians
More than 100 hospital leaders in attendance at MHA's 2025 Leadership Forum took a short break Friday from educational programming to thank U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, of Missouri, for his leadership in protecting Medicaid benefits, which cover two in five Missouri children and one in five adults.
Craig Thompson, MHA's 2025 board chair and CEO of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in Clinton, Mo., also thanked the senator for his related efforts to ensure Missouri hospitals, especially rural hospitals, can remain open 24-7-365 for the communities they serve.

The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals.
