HIDI Releases Medicare DRG Discharge and Charge Trends Summary

For many years, the Hospital Industry Data Institute has produced an annual report that provides several key measures associated with inpatient short stays as included in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ MedPAR Final Rule file Limited Data Set.

An additional executive summary has been prepared that quantifies volume, charge and reimbursement metrics observable from 2018 to 2023. Hospitals interested in the granular detail available in “HIDI’s Average Hospital Charges for Medicare Patients – DRG Report” should contact HIDI.
