CMS Issues FY 2026 Final SNF PPS Final Payment And Policy Updates

CMS released federal fiscal year 2026 Medicare Skilled Nursing Facility PPS final payment and policy updates. The updates include the following. 

SNF PPS 

• Rate increase of 3.2%; 3.3% marketbasket increase reduced by 0.7% productivity adjustment and increased by 0.6% to correct forecasting errors 
• Revisions to the patient-driven payment model 
• SNF quality reporting program and value-based purchasing program updates 
• Requests for information about reducing regulation and administrative burdens in Medicare
