CMS Announces Cell and Gene Therapy Access Model

CMS announced the Cell and Gene Therapy Access Model designed “to improve the lives of people with Medicaid living with rare and severe diseases by increasing access to potentially transformative treatments.”

The CGT Access Model is a voluntary program for selected states, including Missouri, to test whether a CMS-led approach to “developing and administering outcomes-based agreements for cell and gene therapies improves Medicaid beneficiaries’ access to innovating treatment.”
