MHA Releases 2025 Legislative Session Summary
MHA published its annual issue brief summarizing the 2025 state legislative session, which describes the outcomes of various legislative proposals affecting hospitals and health care. This issue brief also includes updates from the special session, which began June 2.
The governor has until Monday, July 14, to sign or veto legislation passed during this year’s session. Legislation signed by the governor will take effect Thursday, Aug. 28, unless it includes an emergency clause prompting earlier enactment.

The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
