CMS: 2.8 Million Potentially Enrolled in Multiple Medicaid, Marketplace Plans
Due to CMS’ effort to stop waste, fraud and abuse, a recent analysis of enrollment data identified 2.8 million Americans who either enrolled in Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program in multiple states or simultaneously enrolled in both Medicaid/CHIP and a subsidized Marketplace plan.
CMS now will take action to ensure these individuals are enrolled in only one program to stop from paying multiple subsidies for health coverage.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals.
