Building Connections To Strengthen Missouri’s Behavioral Health Safety Net Resources

For community members with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, or substance use conditions, access to care can be a matter of life or death. Missouri’s continued focus on multidisciplinary care delivery in hospital, behavioral health and community-based settings helps establish collaborative and effective care delivery.

Convention attendees were able to learn about innovative efforts related to hospital boarding, behavioral health bridge programming models such as EPICC/ERE, peer-led services, workforce opportunities and the foundation that Medicaid plays to establish the necessary safety net to provide for this care delivery.
