SSM Health President And CEO Named AHA Board Of Trustees Chair-Elect Designate
Laura Kaiser, president and CEO of St. Louis-based SSM Health, has been elected chair-elect designate of the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees. She will serve as AHA chair-elect in 2027 and become the AHA chair in 2028.
Kaiser has led SSM Health since 2017, overseeing a health system with 24 hospitals, more than 540 physician offices and outpatient sites, and 40,000 employees across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. A University of Missouri graduate, Kaiser has served on the AHA Board of Trustees and Executive Committee and has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the nation’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare for eight consecutive years.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
