Reimbursement Applications Open April 1 For Extended DMH Patient Stays

Staff Contact: Nate Percy

The Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health and Division of Developmental Disability released instructions on Friday for hospitals to apply for reimbursement of expenditures related to extended stays of qualifying individuals receiving DMH services. Reimbursement is considered for individuals eligible for hospital discharge but not discharged for a specified period of time due to a lack of availability within an appropriate community placement.

Applications for reimbursement can be submitted between Wednesday, April 1, and Thursday, April 30. The letter from DMH, attestation form and Excel document to fill out can be found on DMH’s website.
