Nearly 15,000 Students Attend Health Care Career Day
Fourth Annual Event Showcases Different Careers Available in Health Care Industry
Nearly 15,000 students from 28 states got a sneak peek into a variety of health care careers during the 4th Annual Health Care Career Day held Feb. 28. MHA, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education hosted the virtual event.
The following Missouri hospitals and health systems participated, showcasing different careers available in the health care industry.

- Northeast Regional Medical Center
- Phelps Health
- University Health
- Saint Francis Healthcare System
Mosaic Life Care also shared a session on front-line heroes of health care.

MHA offers various workforce resources to support member hospitals in implementing strategies for workforce planning, recruitment, retention and development. In addition, the Missouri Health Careers website offers a platform dedicated to educating students and career-seekers about various health care career options.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
