Missouri Congress Members Urge State To Maximize Rural Transformation Dollars

Several members of Missouri’s congressional delegation submitted a letter to Gov. Mike Kehoe and state officials asserting their view of the legislative intent behind the Rural Health Transformation Program funding provided in H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

The letter also provides guidance on maximizing Missouri’s share of the funds, including how to best calculate the state’s rural factors and conform with the priorities identified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The letter also suggests the state establish performance metrics to evaluate program implementation and ensure that rural health facilities are prioritized for receipt of funding.
