MHA, IAHSS Share Resources For Healthcare Security And Safety Week
This week (Oct 12-18), MHA staff join health care organizations celebrating Healthcare Security and Safety Week, which recognizes the critical role security and safety professionals play in creating a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Sponsored by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, this observance highlights the dedication, professionalism and courage of those who protect health care facilities every day.
MHA equips hospital safety leaders, facility managers and health system administrators with the resources, including the Healing Happens Here toolkit, they need to create and maintain safe, compliant environments for all. Learn how MHA helps hospitals create safe work environments.
Health care public safety and security officers are often the first responders to emergencies, workplace violence incidents and safety concerns. Their work ensures that caregivers can focus on healing, patients can feel secure, and visitors can trust the safety of hospitals and health system facilities. In an era of increasing workplace violence and evolving security challenges, their commitment is more important than ever.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals.
