MHA Distributes Final Wage Index, Occupational Mix Data For Review
The Missouri Hospital Association published an analysis on HIDI Advantage® of the hospital wage index and occupational mix data that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will use to develop the federal fiscal year 2027 Medicare hospital wage index.
Hospitals can review their hospital-specific data and submit correction requests to CMS and the Medicare Administrative Contractor through Friday, May 29. Corrections can only be made if it can be shown that CMS or the MAC mishandled the final wage data posted in the April 30 public use files. May 29 also is the deadline to dispute data corrections made by CMS of which the hospital was notified between March 21 and May 15.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
