MHA, AHA Offer Ways For Hospitals To Celebrate National Nurses Week, Hospital Week
National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Hospital Week (May 10-16) are approaching, and both the Missouri Hospital Association and American Hospital Association offer ways to help hospitals celebrate the teams who make healing possible.
MHA received nearly 200 nominations for the 2026 Champions of Care, recognizing individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional compassion, excellence and dedication. Winners will be announced during National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week.
To support hospitals’ planning for National Hospital Week, AHA offers resources, including social media and engagement tools as well as official merchandise, to make celebrations meaningful. Hospitals are encouraged to incorporate this year’s theme, “Healing Happens Here,” into their activities.
Resources also are available through AHA’s American Organization for Nursing Leadership to celebrate National Nurses Week, which has a theme this year of “Leadership in Every Moment.”
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
