MHA, AHA Offer Ways For Hospitals To Celebrate National Hospital Week

Staff Contact: Summer Wilson

National Hospital Week (May 10-16) is approaching, and both the Missouri Hospital Association and American Hospital Association offer ways to help hospitals celebrate the teams who make healing possible.

MHA is currently accepting nominations for the 2026 Champions of Care, recognizing individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional compassion, excellence and dedication. Nominations close Friday, March 27, and winners will be announced during National Hospital Week and National Nurses Week (May 6-12).

To support hospitals’ planning for National Hospital Week, the AHA offers resources, including social graphics, sample messages, event ideas and official merchandise, to make celebrations meaningful. Hospitals are encouraged to incorporate this year’s theme, “Healing Happens Here,” into their activities.

National Hospital Week is an opportunity to highlight the essential role hospitals play in strengthening communities.
