HHS Releases Make Hospital Food Healthy Again Pledge
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced the Make Hospital Food Healthier Pledge, which challenges hospitals to put nutrition at the center of care by reviewing and aligning food service practices with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Region 7 will host a virtual meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, about taking the pledge and why hospital food matters to patient outcomes. Participants are required to register for the briefing.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
