#HAVhope Friday Brings Awareness To Violence Reduction

Staff Contact: Robert Loseman

Today, the Missouri Hospital Association joins hospitals and health systems nationwide in recognizing #HAVhope Friday, a national day of awareness focused on preventing workplace and community violence. The American Hospital Association provides resources to build awareness of, and mitigate, violence within hospital organizations and the communities hospitals serve.

Missouri hospitals are committed to creating safe environments for patients, visitors and health care workers. MHA’s Worker Safety page provides support and resources, including ongoing expansion of the Healing Happens Here campaign. As a partner to hospitals in building safe, healing environments, MHA continues to advance policies, partnerships, and prevention strategies that protect health care teams and the communities they serve.
