CMS Releases Medicaid Community Engagement Guidance
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released information regarding community engagement requirements for certain Medicaid participants. The PDF is available for review, and the official publication is scheduled to be posted in the Federal Register on Monday, June 29.
The Medicaid community engagement requirements were enacted in Public Law 119-21, which was signed into law by President Donald J. Trump on July 4, 2025. States are required to implement these requirements by Jan. 1, 2027.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a nonprofit association in Jefferson City that represents 136 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
