Aim for Excellence
In 2016, MHA introduced the Aim for Excellence Award, an annual, prestigious award to recognize Missouri hospitals’ innovation and outcomes related to the Triple Aim approach.
MHA Awards
Each year, MHA presents health care organizations, workers and leaders with prestigious awards, recognizing outstanding personal achievement, honoring leadership in the delivery of health care, and featuring those who go above and beyond for their communities.
The Aim for Excellence, Distinguished Service, Trustee of the Year and Visionary Leadership awards are presented at MHA’s Annual Convention. The Champions of Care are honored during National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week.
Trustee of the Year Award
The Trustee of the Year Award honors up to two individual trustees who currently serve, or served within the past year, on a Missouri hospital or health system governing board.
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1975 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to their hospitals or health systems, their communities, the field of health care, and the Missouri Hospital Association.
Visionary Leadership Award
Created in 1999, the Visionary Leadership Award recognizes outstanding achievements in clinical and health outcomes led by the nominee. This award does not focus on building or service line expansion.
Champions of Care
The Missouri Hospital Association honors Champions of Care in the categories of nursing, nursing teams, health care workers and health care teams.
