ASHE, a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association, announced its 2026 Chapter Awards this week and will celebrate chapters during the upcoming annual Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference. 

MOSHE was one of 19 chapters recognized with the Platinum Elite Chapter Award. Chapter Awards are given at the platinum, gold, silver and bronze level for meeting various criteria that signify the chapters’ outstanding work supporting ASHE’s strategic objectives. Chapters at each award tier also may attain an “elite” bonus award by verifying participation in ASHE’s Energy to Care Chapter Challenge.

The study’s results highlight the need for security and cybersecurity planning — and the need for security teams and facilities management to be in discussions early to ensure security protections, both physical and cyber, are considered at the beginning of the planning, design and construction process. The summary further outlines physical security and cybersecurity challenges as well as trends in construction, facility projects and infrastructure projects.

The Missouri Society for Healthcare Engineering held its annual board retreat last week, bringing together board members, committee chairs and Missouri Hospital Association partners for a highly productive and collaborative session at the MHA office in Jefferson City, Mo.

With a full agenda, from strategic alignment and financial planning to process integration, advocacy priorities and goal setting, the team made significant progress in shaping a strong 2026 for MOSHE.

A special highlight was the deepened collaboration between MHA and MOSHE, focusing on aligning processes, integrating the two organizations’ work and expanding their collective reach across the state. The conversations were thoughtful, forward focused and grounded in a shared vision.

This recognition celebrates MOSHE’s dedication to excellence, leadership and innovation in health care engineering and the facility management field.
